Andover Lions Club
The Andover Lions have had a busy summer. Musterfield Fair did not get the crowds we are accustomed to, but it kept us somewhat busy for the two days. The Danbury Grange Fair was the first Saturday in September, and we fared a little bit better and were able to use up much of our surplus.
As I write this, we are gearing up for the 24th of September, when we again host our Andover Lions Annual Golf Classic at the Country Club of New Hampshire. We will be having raffles, various contests, and providing lunch. Many thanks to those who have sponsored a hole or cart or donated an item for the raffle and prizes. We hope to have a good turnout for it.
Lions Calendar Raffle
We are again selling calendar raffle tickets. Our money prizes run from $50 to $400, with multiple chances to win with just one ticket. Please see one of our members to purchase a ticket. They are only $10 each, and winners will be selected during the month of January.
In the planning stages right now, is a Halloween Open House at the Lion’s Den for the young goblins, witches, and such. We will have it on Halloween night and will get more info out as we get closer to the date.
As always, we welcome new members. If interested, give our membership chair, Lion Howard George, a call at 735-5590.
