AASP Holds a Successful Chili Cookoff

Accepting donations for Andover Food Pantry

Emily Hackmann and Shelby Barton spent the whole day volunteering at the AASP Chili Cook-Off to benefit the Duquette family. Neither of the girls thought they liked chili, but by the end of the day, each had decided that she does like chili after all. Photo: Charlie Darling

Happy Holidays everybody! I’d like to thank Kenice Barton, Kendall Perkins, Joanna Seeley, Leslie Hackmann, Brianna Keniston, and our two youngest volunteers, Shelby Barton and Emily Hackmann, for hanging in there for the day of our Chili Cook-Off. We’d also like to thank those who made chili and donated items to help out with this fundraiser.

This past month was filled with turkeys and more turkeys. We also completed our acorn contest, and the second and third graders won! Ask your child about it.

We have a food donation bucket in our building and will be making a trip to the Andover Food Pantry if anyone would like to give a little during the holiday season.

Have a safe and happy holiday season. See you all in 2014.
