Andover ZBA Is Live on the Internet

Ordinances, Forms, and Minutes Available Online

By Dan Coolidge, Chair, Andover ZBA

The Andover Zoning Board of Adjustment has been busy making things a bit easier for applicants. We have a new Web site at Andover.nh.us/ZBA-WEB/ZBA.html where just about everything related to the ZBA is available online.

Do you have questions about the Zoning Ordinance? The ordinance, formerly only available for $10 at the Town Office, is now available for downloading from the Web site for free! We’ve also posted the ZBA rules of procedure, a fee schedule, newly updated instructions, and forms so applicants can get started right from home.

We’ve added a new procedure to deal with unintended violations such as setbacks and building size (Equitable Waiver of Dimensional Requirements). The relief was provided in the state statutes but never put into the Town Zoning Ordinance.

We post recent ZBA minutes and upcoming meeting agendas and applications if we can. Sometimes the applications are so large that posting them on the Web is not possible, but we will try to post enough so that interested parties get an idea of what an application is about. Anyone who wants can view a pending application at the Town Office.

For Board members and interested parties, we post articles about Zoning Law and the operation of Zoning Boards of Appeal, as well as selected recent statutory changes.

Everything is available for download as a PDF file. If you don’t have a PDF reader on your computer (and why wouldn’t you?), you can get one for free at Adobe.com. With it, you can read and print PDF documents.
