Pemi Choral Society Performs Three Glorias

Concerts in Gilford, Franklin, and Plymouth

Press release

The Pemigewasset Choral Society celebrates its 41st holiday season with a series of three concerts beginning on Thursday, December 12, at 7:30 PM at the Gilford Community Church. This performance will be followed with concerts on Friday, December 13, at 7:30 PM in Franklin at St Paul’s Roman Catholic Church and on Sunday, December 15, at 3 PM at the Hanaway Theater in Silver Cultural Arts Center at Plymouth State University.

All concerts are open to the public, with admission by donation in Gilford and Franklin. General admission at Plymouth State University is $10. Tickets are available in advance by calling 535-ARTS. Remaining tickets will be available at the door.

Under the direction of Leslie McDonnell and assistant director William Gunn with pianist Catharine Dornin, our program, titled The Glory of the Season, will feature three Glorias: the full Rutter Gloria, portions of Vivaldi’s Gloria, and the Basler Gloria. The rest of the concert includes a variety of pieces, from the Sussex Carol to Silver Bells.

Bring the whole family to experience this exciting concert performed by the nearly 100 voices of the Pemi Choral Society, along with a children’s choir, as well as a brass and percussion ensemble. This program will warm you with the “Glory” of the Season and will be sure to raise your holiday spirit in the process. What better to share with those for whom you care?
