The community is invited to the to the Lake Sunapee Region Center for the Arts (CFA) “First Fridays” program on January 3 from 5 to 7 PM at Whipple Memorial Town Hall in New London. This evening’s program will feature dancers from the Kearsarge Conservatory of Performing Arts. All Center for the Arts events are free and open to the public. Join us for an evening of music, dance, and light refreshments.
Kevin and Angela Tarleton came to the Kearsarge area seven years ago and created the Kearsarge Conservatory of the Performing Arts in Warner. Each has an extensive background in the performing arts, as well as an ability to share their expertise with students. As the studio grew, they added staff and were able to expand. They now offer a comprehensive performing arts curriculum. Do visit NHPerformingArts.com for additional information, as well as their upcoming performance schedule.
At the January 3 First Friday, Angela Tarleton, co-founder and director of dance, will showcase dance students who will perform a montage of dances from their repertoire. The dancers include: Grace Brooks, Kaitlin Glidewell, Jorgie Ingram, Rylee Pauling, Kristi Upton, and Issac Wilson. The dances to be performed will include the following: In a Drop of Water, Enchanted Forest, Reflection, The Dance, Frog Swamp, and Spain. Following the performance, Angela Tarleton and the dancers will be available for an informal question and answer period. A reception will follow with light refreshments.
All First Friday events are free and open to the public. On the first friday of each month, the Lake Sunapee Region Center for the Arts hosts a series of free arts programs for the community, including gallery openings and receptions, classical and folk music nights, literary and poetry nights, as well as a theater night. Working with their business partners in the community, CFA continues to showcase local and regional talent in the Lake Sunapee area for the benefit of the artists and performers, residents, and visitors to our beautiful region.
