Aiden Cox, eighth grade student, is the 2013 Rock-Paper-Scissors (RPS) Champion at Andover Elementary/Middle School. There were over 40 competitors from grades five through eight.

The traditional RPS format was played, with three permissible “throws”: Rock, Paper, or Scissors. Rock crushes scissors, scissors cuts paper, and paper covers rock. When two players throw the same, it is a stalemate, and they must throw again.

Aiden now moves on to the state-wide Rock-Paper-Scissors Tournament to be held on Saturday, December 14, at the Derryfield School in Manchester. The event promises to be a wonderful occasion, uniting young people of all ages and backgrounds from across the state in a spirit of friendship and friendly competition.

The tournament champion will receive a $500 cash prize and a trophy and will be crowned New Hampshire’s 2013 Rock-Paper-Scissors Champion. Second and third place winners will receive $250 and $100 cash prizes.

Good luck, Aiden!
