Happy New Year, everyone. We just came back from a long vacation with new projects and a few changes. We had a holiday celebration, and every child here got to pick a number and unwrap a present to keep here at the Annex. This is the fourth year in row that we have done this. It is a big hit. The kids really do a great job understanding that the gifts remain here, and somehow they are just as excited.

I was discussing Elf on a Shelf with one of my students. He was very excited about the whole concept. I added to his excitement by asking if he thought an Elf on the Shelf would come to my house. He exclaimed, “Don’t worry, Ms. Adams, if he doesn’t come, you can go buy one at Target!”

Thanks to all of my families who have helped us out along the way in 2013. I am looking forward to another great year. We do have some openings.
