Pauline Nora Richards passed away peacefully on May 10, 2016 at Woodlawn Care Center in Newport after a lengthy illness. Born on April 11, 1928 to Grace (Perkins) Richardson and Frank Richardson, she was predeceased by her parents; her loving husband, Carl Richards, in 2001; and siblings Richard, John, Barbara, and Doris.

As a lifelong resident of Andover, she was active in many local groups and most known for her many years as Librarian of the William A. Bachelder Library in East Andover. She enjoyed traveling, card games with friends, and hanging out with Ella.

She leaves behind a daughter, Ann Sargent-Henderson and her husband David of Andover; a son, Frank Richards of Vassalboro, Maine; grandsons Christopher Carl West and his wife Kristen of Bartlett, New Hampshire, Phillip Eric Sargent and his wife Kelly of Wakefield, Massachusetts, and Michael Henderson of Franklin; and great-grandchildren Jacob and Sage West, Liam and Finn Sargent, and Katie Henderson.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 27, at 1 PM at the Chadwick Funeral Home, 235 Main Street in New London. The family would appreciate it if support were given to dementia research.
