Proctor seniors celebrate an 8-0 season after wrapping up the season with a 51-19 win over Holderness School.

The Proctor Academy football program will be sending six players from the Class of 2013 on to play NCAA college football next fall.

Headlining the class is University of New Hampshire signee Odaine Franklyn (White Plains, NY). Franklyn, a 6’3” 230 lbs linebacker, was selected to the All New England and All Evergreen League teams during his post-graduate year at Proctor. Franklyn continues the long line of Proctor football alumni playing at the Division 1 level including current Boston College lineman Harris Williams, and acknowledges the role Proctor played in his development as a student-athlete. “Proctor has prepared me to play Division 1 football by allowing me to compete against outstanding competition and by providing me with the discipline in the classroom, on the field and in the weight room to be a Divsion 1 athlete.”

Fellow post-graduate Kyrel Jaundoo (Boston, Massachusetts) signed with St. Anselm College (Manchester, New Hampshire) after a stellar season with Proctor where he led the team in tackles and earned all conference honors as an outside linebacker. Jaundoo will be joining fellow Proctor alum, current St. Anselm tight end, and NE-10 All-Rookie Team honoree, Mike Lombard ‘12 (Pelham, New Hampshire).

The Northeast-10 not only adds Jaundoo to its fold, as offensive lineman John Martin (Plymouth, Massachusetts) has signed with Merrimack College (North Andover, Massachusetts). Martin, a 6’3” 300 lbs tackle, has been the anchor of the Proctor line for three years, leading the team to a 20-4 record during his tenure on the line. Martin notes, “I am very excited about attending Merrimack College as I know it will allow me to excel both academically and athletically. Playing for the Proctor football program has given me the experience to be successful throughout my career at Merrimack, but most importantly, the coaching staff has taught me to be a man and to live my life with integrity.” This past January Martin was named to the All Evergreen League and New England Teams as well as earning the title of Most Valuable Lineman of New England Prep School Football.

Four year letterman and three year team captain Blake Joppy (Clarksburg, MD) will attend Springfield College next fall. Joppy, Proctor’s most decorated football player in school history, holds over 40 school records, was selected to the All Evergreen League in each of his four years, All New England in 2012, and was named Most Valuable Player of the Evergreen League for the 2012 season. “It is a bittersweet feeling knowing that I won’t be playing for Proctor and Coach Rulli next fall,” notes Joppy, “But it has been an outstanding four years, and I am prepared and ready to do all I can to help Springfield’s football team next year.”

Three year starter at center and honorable mention All-Evergreen League, Tanner Robinson (York, ME) will be attending Endicott College (Beverly, Massachusetts). Joining Robinson at Endicott next year is Matt Field (Post Mills, Vermont) who led the team in interceptions.

The Proctor football program finished the 2012 campaign with an 8-0 regular season and were named New England Prep School Runners-Up after falling to Suffield Academy in the Norm Walker Bowl in November. The team is returning an outstanding core of young talent and have incoming recruits that will be ready to continue the winning tradition that Proctor is known for in the fall.
