Proctor’s New Gymnasium and Fitness Center Open

By Scott Allenby, Proctor Academy

Proctor’s Farrell Field House is undergoing a complete renovation. Phases 1 and 2 are nearly complete as the gymnasium is open and the fitness center is scheduled to open in early January.

Proctor’s largest capital building project in the school’s history is well underway as the renovation of the Farrell Field House undergoes a complete overhaul. The gymnasium is complete and the school’s new fitness center is scheduled to open in early January. Basketball teams have hosted their first practices in the new gym, and Proctor recently hosted a Special Olympics New Hampshire basketball event in the new space. Improved lighting, mechanical systems, and a completely new gym floor have given new life to the facility, while future renovations of the south end of the building will transform the functional space within the building. The addition of seven new classrooms, new locker rooms, athletic offices, and multipurpose function space create an academic center at the west end of campus adjacent to the Brown Dining Commons (completed in September 2016). These additions to the south end of the building are scheduled to be complete by October 2018. Learn more by visiting www.proctoracademy.org/campaignforproctor.
