LACONIA NH—LRGHealthcare President and CEO, Kevin W. Donovan is pleased to announce Theresa L. Champagne, RN, DNP, CNOR as the organization’s new Chief Nursing Officer. Champagne will replace Kendra Peaslee, RN who has been serving as the Interim Chief Nursing Officer.

Champagne is currently the Associate Chief Nursing Officer of Surgical Services for Vassar Brothers Medical Center-Poughkeepsie New York.  She will officially begin at LRGHealthcare on May 28, 2018. Champagne recently received an active nursing license in New Hampshire, having completed the New Hampshire Board of Nursing licensure process.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Master of Science in Nursing with focus as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and a Doctor of Nursing Practice.

“We are excited to welcome Terri to LRGHealthcare. She has a great deal of experience in nursing leadership and I know she will bring value and expertise to our organization,” states Donovan.

Prior to her role at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, she spent four years as the Director of Perioperative Services at Western Connecticut Health Network in Danbury, Connecticut.  Champagne also spent 28 years at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Connecticut serving in several nursing roles.

Champagne brings a great deal of expertise and skill in several areas such as program development, regulatory readiness and performance improvement. She has been very involved in the planning of several new construction projects, which will be an added value as LRGHealthcare moves toward renovating the Emergency Department at Lakes Region General Hospital.  She is committed to her role as an educator in nursing. She is looking forward to engaging with nurses at LRGHealthcare and supporting their commitment to provide high quality of care to our patients and community.

Champagne states, “I am excited to begin my role at LRGHealthcare and work with all the outstanding nurses, medical staff, and support staff.  I look forward to the work and challenges ahead.”

Champagne has ties to New Hampshire in that she graduated from St. Anselm College and already owns a family home in Moultonborough where she will move permanently.
