Andover Rec Basketball Joins ICB League

Consistent schedule, online sign-up, and more

By Scott Allenby, Andover Rec Basketball

The Andover Recreation Committee is excited to announce a new partnership with the Independent Community Basketball (ICB) program for the Town’s recreational basketball program.

ICB has served the Merrimack School District for more than a decade and approached us with an opportunity to join their league. ICB is a non-profit serving the youth of the Merrimack Valley School District by providing a recreational basketball league for all towns that send students to Merrimack Valley High School. To learn more about the ICB League, please visit ICBbasketball.com.

Andover will continue to have its own teams for boys and girls in grades three through six. Andover teams will have practices at AE/MS throughout the week, with all games taking place on Saturday mornings either at Penacook Elementary School or at AE/MS on an alternating basis.

We are very excited about joining this new league because of the consistency of the weekly schedule for families, the ability to sign up and pay for participation online, and the communication tools available through the league.

Families interested are able to sign up online at ICBbasketball.siplay.com. Directions for sign-ups have been distributed to all students at AE/MS through the weekly parent e-newsletter, but if you need another copy of directions, please do not hesitate to e-mail Rec Basketball Directors Jen Hauser or Scott Allenby at AndoverRecBasketball@nullgmail.com. Sign-ups are $35 per child and $25 for each additional child within a family. Sign-ups must be complete by Tuesday, November 15, since league games begin on Saturday, December 3.
