Eric W Hauptman

Eric W. Hauptman, 52, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass. with his wife, and family by his side.
Eric was born in Nashua to John Hauptman and Nancy (Lutton) Talbot. He grew up in Henniker and graduated from Henniker High in 1985. He married his wife in 1990 and moved to Canterbury with his family in 2004.
After Eric graduated, he started working for Michie Corp in Henniker and has worked there for the past 32 years as a heavy equipment operator and supervisor. He was also member of the Henniker Volunteer Fire Department for eighteen years prior to moving to Canterbury. Eric was a member of the Sunset Mountain Fish and Game Club in Canterbury, where he served as a director and participated in pistol league and various other shooting sports. He was the founding member and creator of the Northern Frynds of Southern Rock social media page where he enjoyed listening to and promoting up and coming Southern Rock artists. He was a member of the HOG Chapter in Concord and was an avid motorcyclist. Eric enjoyed spending time with his family, gunsmithing, tinkering on antique engines and old John Deere tractors, maple sugaring with family and lending a helping hand to anyone who needed it.

Eric was predeceased by both of his parents and is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Mary (Greenwood) Hauptman; his daughter, Emily Hauptman and his son, Evan Hauptman all of Canterbury; his sister, Dawn Carter of Andover and her daughter, Holly Weston of Concord; two step-brothers Ken Hauptman of Henniker and Bradley Hauptman of Antrim; a step-sister Kim Hauptman of Henniker; two sister-in-laws and a brother-in-law, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Calling hours were held on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the Wendell J. Butt Funeral Home in Penacook. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on July 12 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Penacook with Reverend Raymond Potvin as celebrant. Committal rights were celebrated at the Calvary Cemetery in Penacook.
