New Artistic Director for Kearsarge Chorale

Press Release
Alexander Ager, new Artistic Director  for Kearsarge Chorale.

Kearsarge Chorale, a community choral group affiliated with Colby-Sawyer College in New London, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alexander Ager as its new Artistic Director.

Mr. Ager, the K-8 music teacher at the Andover Elementary/Middle School, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Plymouth State University, and a Master of Music in Music Education from Boston University.  He has sung in the bass section of the chorale for the past two years and has conducted several concert pieces, including one of his own arrangements. His youth and enthusiasm will undoubtedly contribute much to the culture of the chorale and its recognition in the community.

The chorale is most grateful for the three years of leadership provided by outgoing Artistic Director, Donald R. Cox, who announced his retirement at the chorale’s spring concert.  Dr. Cox, with a lifetime of experience in music education, administration, and conducting, provided both technical expertise and artistic inspiration during his tenure with the chorale.  Members of the chorale were pleased with his announcement that he hopes to continue with the chorale as a singer in the tenor section.
