Library News and Views

The Andover libraries will continue curbside service only until the beginning of September. You can call during our regular hours (below) or e-mail anytime to request Library materials and arrange for a pick-up.

When you arrive, just contact the Librarian by phone or a knock on the door (still locked), and she’ll bring your bag outside. If you have materials to drop off, place them in the designated box on the Bachelder porch or hand them in a bag to the Librarian at Andover.

Please hang on to your book donations until further notice. Due to the fact that we had no book sale on the Fourth of July, we simply don’t have the room to deal with them. Soon…

And remember, we are still ordering new books and DVDs, always listed on the Beacon’s “Library Page.”

Meanwhile, the Bachelder Library’s parking area has finally been re-paved, and the flowers are blooming! In Andover, the Service Club has carefully nurtured the flower beds in front of the Library/Town Hall, and the flowers look wonderful.

In fact, the flowers up and down Main Street are really benefiting from personal care and this back-and forth-summer weather. We are so fortunate to live in a community that takes pride in its appearance. Thank you, one and all.
