Candidate Statement – Dan Innis – State Senator

Dan Innis

My name is Dan Innis. I am a small business owner, a professor of Marketing and Hospitality Management at the University of New Hampshire, and a farmer.

I am also the former Dean of the Paul College of Business and Economics at UNH, and I have founded, owned, and operated several New Hampshire businesses, including two inns and a hotel.

Several years ago, I purchased the former Battles Farm in Bradford and renamed it Trail’s End, after my grandfather’s farm.  I believed that running this new business would become my full-time focus, but our nation’s economic downturn changed my plans. I couldn’t stand by and watch as small businesses and Granite State families struggled. That’s why I decided to run for the State Senate.

My priority is getting inflation under control and working to lower grocery, gas, and energy costs for families. We should not have to choose between heating our homes and putting food on our tables.

It is also critically important to me to make sure that our small businesses have the ability to compete and grow, helping our state to become even stronger.

As an educator with over 30 years of experience, I believe that we need to provide a strong education for our children with more educational choices for parents and students.

If elected, I will fight for critical infrastructure improvements, especially expanded rural broadband, and will never support an income or a sales tax.

I reside in Bradford and have three children, all UNH graduates.
