Senior Luncheons offered at the Wilmot Community Association’s (WCA) Red Barn at noon on the third Thursday of the month have been enthusiastically embraced by the whole community. The Wilmot Ladies Aid Society is sponsoring these popular outings in conjunction with the WCA and CAP in Concord, which provides food and support services for seniors in Merrimack County.

Unfortunately, the February 20 luncheon has had to be cancelled due to a temporary staff shortage at CAP, but the schedule will resume in March. Mark your calendar for noon on Thursday, March 20, to rejoin friends and neighbors at this popular luncheon.

Folks wanting to enjoy a hot lunch, the camaraderie of other seniors, and an occasional short program are requested to reserve a spot by contacting Carol Weatherbee at 526-7307 or CarolWbee@nullgmail.com a week prior to the luncheon.

A $2 donation is suggested for the meal, and a $3 donation for the WCA, for a total of $5. For those under 60 years of age, the suggested donation for CAP is $6 and $3 for the WCA.

In the event of a weather cancellation, organizers will follow Kearsarge Regional School’s lead. Additionally, every effort will be made to call those who signed up. It is suggested that folks use their best judgment about coming out in bad weather.

The WCA Red Barn is located at 64 Village Road in Wilmot Flat, next to the Wilmot Post Office. See you there!
