Colby-Sawyer College’s Fine and Performing Arts Department presents the spring dance ensemble “Perspectives” on Friday, April 18, at 7 PM in the Sawyer Center Theater. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students and children, and free with a Colby-Sawyer ID.

The two-act, 20-number performance includes jazz, tap, ballet, hip-hop, contemporary, and lyrical, and features choreography by students and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Dance Laura Dunlop Shepherd.

“Perspectives” will entertain and challenge the audience, according to Professor Shepherd. “Each dancer has been shaped by the triumphs and tragedies of life and brings to the stage his or her unique experience to share,” she said. “The audience will relate to some perspectives, of course, but might find others life-changing.”
