Meeting to Discuss Area Hiking Trails

Hiking trails in the Pillsbury-Sunapee-Kearsarge region will be the topic of a roundtable discussion on Sunday afternoon, April 13, at MainStreet BookEnds in Warner.

The importance of connecting recreational hikers to land conservation organizations will be one of the topics for discussion, as participants look at maps and discuss how maintaining and building trails helps to retain the region’s rural character as population continues to grow.

Conversations will include:

  • Regional trails and trail systems, including the Sunapee-Ragged-Kearsarge Greenway
  • The role of hiking and recreational trails in our quality of life and the region’s economy
  • Future trails: what about connecting Pillsbury State Park with Mount Kearsarge?
  • Opportunities / obstacles to the process of trail collaboration among groups

The meeting Sunday afternoon will be from 2 to 4 PM in Warner at MainStreet BookEnds at 16 East Main Street.
