The Friends of the Wilmot Public Library (FOWPL) will host professional bear rehabilitator and author Ben Kilham at 7 PM on Thursday, May 1, in the Wilmot Town Hall, 9 North Wilmot Road, just off Route 4A in Wilmot Center.

Prior to Ben’s talk, FOWPL will have a brief business meeting starting at 6:40 PM to elect officers for 2014-2015 and present the treasurer’s report.

Ben has spent the past two decades studying bears and is considered an expert in the field of bear behavior. His second book, Out on a Limb: What Black Bears Have Taught Me About Intelligence and Intuition, was published in 2013.

After his talk, Ben will sell and sign copies of Out on a Limb. Note cards and DVDs also will be available for purchase. FOWPL will raffle a toy stuffed bear with one of Ben’s DVDs. More information about Ben and his work is available at BenKilham.com.

The program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
