Annual Powwow on July 12 and 13

Giona Sezoha G’dakinna: We Paint Our Land: May 1 through July 13. Fine art in the Contemporary Art Gallery includes paintings, drawings, pottery, and carved shell. Guest curator Liz Charlebois. Admission to the art gallery is free.

Along the River: Exploring Community Connections: through October, presented in conjunction with the Little Nature Museum. This exhibit is part of a larger series of exhibits and programs exploring 12,000 years of history along the Contoocook, Lane, Merrimack, and Warner Rivers. The Mount Kearsarge Indian Museum, New Hampshire Telephone Museum, and the historical societies in Hopkinton, Warner, Bradford, Sutton, and Penacook are all participating. Basket Class: Pine Bark Baskets with Lids is a class on Sunday, June 22, from 10 AM to 3 PM, taught by Jennifer Lee. Ash bark may be available, if the season allows. The cost is $35 for members, $50 for non-members. Call to pre-register at 456-2600.

The 15th annual Intertribal Powwow will take place on Saturday and Sunday, July 12 and 13. Gates open at 10 AM, with the Grand Entry at noon. There will be music, dance, crafts, storytelling, and food. Admission is free for members and Native Americans; for non-members, admission is $8.50 adult, $7.50 senior/student, $6.50 children, with a $26 family maximum.
