Andover Service Club Awards Four Scholarships

$4,000 to deserving Andover students

By Diane Rice, Chair, ASC Scholarship Committee

The Andover Service Club has just completed its Scholarship Program for the 2014-2015 academic year. We are delighted to announce that a total of $4,000 was given to four very deserving students.

To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must have a close, personal tie to the town of Andover. The awards are made on the basis of academic performance, character, and community involvement.

The Andover Service Club would like to thank all those who submitted applications. Each application reflected many fine attributes and diverse interests. I would like to thank personally all the Andover Service Club members for their help in raising funds to allow this program to continue. I know, too, that we thank all community members who support our Club’s projects. This is what makes our scholarship program possible!

The Andover Service Club wishes all who participated in our program success and happiness in their future endeavors.

The 2014-2015 Andover Service Club scholarship recipients are:

Kayla Hartwell: Kayla will continue her graduate school program at the University of Calgary, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Rebecca Lance: Rebecca will be entering her senior year at Emmanuel College in Boston.

Karen Niemeyer: Karen will be continuing her education at Granite State College in Concord.

Michaela Trefethen: Michaela will be entering her junior year at Barton College in Wilson, North Carolina.
