The community is invited to the Lake Sunapee Region Center for the Arts’ First Friday program on August 1 from 5 to 7 PM. Gallery openings and artist’s receptions are taking place at several New London locations. All Center for the Arts First Friday events are free and open to the public.

Lisa Jelleme of Andover and Grace Cooper have their works hanging at the Banks Gallery at 207 Main Street, New London. Their pictures represent a select group of emerging artists, as well as established artists from the northeast.

The micro-gallery at New London Inn, 140 Main Street, will host the work of husband and wife Mary and David Blohm, residents of Lake Sunapee. They have named their joint exhibit “It’s Art in the Family.”

Sooson Donholter will exhibit her work at the Zero Celsius Wealth micro-gallery at 228 Main Street. She describes her work as sophisticated, yet whimsical, contemporary fine art.

The Banks Gallery and the Center for the Art have collaborated to offer a reception at the gallery from 5 to 7 PM. Tom Pirozzoli will provide music during the reception. Additionally, the Banks Gallery will donate 10% of all art sales that evening to the Center for the Arts.
