Part-Time Deputy Town Clerk Position Open

Must reside in Andover

The part-time position of Deputy Town Clerk is now open in the Andover Town Clerk/Tax Collector’s office. The job is 15 hours a week, plus extra hours during peak times. The office is open three days a week from 9 AM to 2 PM; one day a week from 1:30 to 6:30 PM; and the last Saturday of the month from 9 to 11 AM. We can be flexible with scheduling.

Applicants must have knowledge of basic office equipment and computers, be able to work with the general public, be accountable, demonstrate accuracy, be able to work under pressure, and have the ability to be bonded. Prior office experience preferred.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Working with the Department of Motor Vehicles to title vehicles and to renew vehicle registrations
  • Working with Vital Records
  • Working with the Secretary of State’s office on elections
  • Preparing tax bills
  • Processing payments
  • Licensing dogs
  • End-of-day balancing
  • Filing

The Deputy Town Clerk works in a highly confidential office environment and has access to information required to be kept confidential by New Hampshire RSA 91-A and/or other laws.
