Make reservations a week ahead

Press release
Seniors enjoying a bountiful hot turkey lunch at the WCA's Red Barn in Wilmot at the November Senior Luncheon were treated to a wonderfully funny skit by Groucho Marx (played by Charley Freiberg) and his able assistant Sparkle (played by Margaret Doody). Almost 40 attendees enjoyed each other's company, door prizes, and the holiday spread cooked up by the Community Action Program kitchen in Concord, served by the Wilmot Ladies Aid Society, and co-hosted by the Wilmot Community Center. The next Senior Luncheon is scheduled at noon on Thursday, December 18, at the Wilmot Community Association’s (WCA) Red Barn in Wilmot. A hearty ham or turkey supper with home-baked cookies for dessert is on the menu.

The entertainment will be provided by Susan Cancio-Bello, who will play seasonal favorites on the piano. There will be door prizes.

The January luncheon is scheduled at noon on Thursday, January 15.

Don’t miss these chances to schmooze with your friends over a hot lunch hosted by members of the Wilmot Ladies Aid Society, the Community Action Program, and the WCA.

In the case of bad weather, please use your best judgment about travelling. Luncheon organizers will make every effort to let you know ahead of time if the event is cancelled, but a good guide is whether Kearsarge Regional Schools are closed. Luncheons will be cancelled if that is the case.

Call Margaret Doody at least a week ahead of the scheduled luncheon at 768- 3805 to make reservations.
