The kindergarten students celebrated the 100th day of school on February 11. They were very excited for the day to arrive! Some were confused and thought they would then be going to first grade, so it was explained that there are actually 180 days of school.

We started our day by making crowns with 100 finger prints on them. Kindergartners led the Pledge of Allegiance for the whole school and shared 100 items from home.

Students brought in 100 pennies, Q-tips, stamps, 100 wheels on a car, and many other items. Students stacked 100 cups and drew a picture of what they thought they would look like in 100 years.

Many students came to school dressed as though they were 100 years old. We did 100 exercises and 100 seconds of jumping, 100 seconds of silliness, 100 seconds of silence.

It was a fun day, filled with smiles and excitement while learning about the number 100. Kindergarten students are now 100 days smarter! It is truly an accomplishment when you look at how much each student has grown.
