Franklin VNA and Hospice Chooses a New Executive Director

Jane White has retired

Press release

The Board of Directors of Franklin VNA and Hospice has chosen a new Executive Director. As of March 2, the head of the agency is Barbara Normandin, RN. Ms. Normandin has been an employee of the agency for several years as the Home Care Clinical Manager. She assumed the position of Executive Director of the agency upon the retirement of the current director, Jane White, on February 27.

Ms. Normandin’s professional background and work experience make her the ideal person to take over this top spot. She has over 20 years’ experience in the Home Health industry, 13-plus years of management and supervisory experience, and 10 years of clinical experience. Ms. Normandin is OASIS certified and also has QI Scholars certification.

Having been the Home Care Clinical Manager of Franklin VNA and Hospice since September of 2011, Ms. Normandin has been involved in a majority of initiatives and can already count some significant accomplishments. About taking over the director’s position, Ms. Normandin says, “We’ve really built a strong group of professionals who are able to work together as a productive team, and we are dedicated to providing quality services to this community. It is this attitude on the part of the staff that will help me to make a smooth transition into this new role.”

The Franklin VNA staff greeted the announcement of Ms. Normandin’s new title with great enthusiasm. Having known her in her former role in the agency, the staff is happy to have her permanently at the helm. Said one staffer, “The Board of Directors made a great choice in picking Barbara to lead the agency. In the time she has been the clinical manager, she has made quite an impact, and we are all ready to help her take this agency forward.”
