Lisa Jelleme will be among the artists participating in the Wilmot Community Association’s third annual Imagination into Art on Friday and Saturday, June 26 and June 27, at the WCA’s Red Barn on 64 Village Road in Wilmot.

Lisa Jelleme, Molly Leith, and Corbett Leith, all of Andover, will be among 19 local artists featured in the Wilmot Community Association’s (WCA) third annual Imagination into Art on Friday and Saturday, June 26 and 27, at the WCA’s Red Barn at 64 Village Road in Wilmot Flat.

The art exhibit and sale will open with a reception from 5 to 7 PM on Friday, June 26, at the WCA’s Red Barn.

During the reception, artists will exhibit completed works and demonstrate their technique. Imagination into Art will continue from 9 AM to noon on Saturday, June 27, at the WCA’s Red Barn and at the Wilmot Farmers Market at the Wilmot town green on Village Road.

Artists who will show their work also will include Vlad Chertikhin, Sue Finney, Ann Feeley Kieffer, David Lorden, John Monto, Kathy Neuberger, Mary Jane Peabody, Nancy Schlosser, Chris Whitcher, Sam Wild, and Zach Jonas, all from Wilmot; Jane Gold, Rosemary McGuirk, and Dave Tibbetts, New London; and Steve Russell and Sue Russell, Newbury.

Several artists have donated a work to be sold during a silent auction on Friday evening.

“We are pleased to host a show that features so many of our very talented local artists,” said Judy Hauck, WCA board member and organizer of Imagination into Art. “The works include handmade quilts, pottery, sculpture, furniture, metalwork, and paintings in several media.”

Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served at the Friday evening reception. A $15 donation per person is suggested.

The WCA, which was established in 1963, owns and operates the Red Barn, a community center on Village Road in Wilmot. A private preschool, the Wilmot Learning Place, is a tenant on the lower level of the Red Barn. The WCA also owns and operates Timothy Patten Park, where local community members enjoy summer activities such as swimming, playing volleyball or sharing a picnic supper.

The WCA sponsors many events, including the Black Fly Blitz, the Pie Breakfast, Scarecrow Decorating Contest, Halloween party children, the annual holiday craft fair, and the Wilmot Express.

The office is open from 9 AM to noon, Monday through Thursday and by appointment.
