Kaitlin French And Matt Braley Earn MVP Honors

Lions Club tournament a hit with players, spectators

The Andover Lions Club held its second annual Middle School Basketball Tournament at Proctor Academy.

On December 26, the Andover girls defeated Kearsarge in a triple overtime. Other results were: the Franklin girls defeated Pittsfield, the Pittsfield boys defeated Kearsarge, and the Franklin boys defeated Andover.

The 27th was a snow day, but the tournament continued on the 28th. In consolation games, the Pittsfield girls defeated Kearsarge, and the Kearsarge boys defeated Andover in overtime.

In the championship games, the Franklin girls defeated Andover, and the Franklin boys defeated Pittsfield.

The tournament MVPs were Zoe Kaplan from Franklin girls and Jayden Torres from Franklin boys.

Kaitlin French was selected as team MVP from the Andover girls, and Matt Braley was the team MVP from the Andover boys.

There was a large crowd of spectators at both days of the tournament.
