Through the Reading Glasses, July 2015

Hurry to the Book Sale preview on July 3!

By Janet Moore, Library Trustee

Now is the time for all good readers to come to the aid of their town.

In just a few short days, the annual “Book Sale” will commence in the Stone Chapel. On Friday, July 3, between the hours of 4 and 7 PM, Andover residents only may come to the event at the Chapel for first picks among the many, many donated books that the Library Directors have gathered this year.

The rest of the wider world is invited to peruse the goodies the following day, between 8 AM and 1 PM. Come one, come all, and indulge your reading interests. And find us in the parade, reading, naturally.

If you have any health concerns and questions, feel free to look up information through MedLine Plus, a program online available at the Libraries. Stop by for free brochures, and ask the Directors for assistance.

In September, we’ll have an astronomer to lead us through an evening viewing of the night sky, co-sponsored with the Wilmot Library. New Hampshire Law School professor John Greabe will be available for discussions about Supreme Court rulings later in that month.

In March, we’ll be hosting an author presentation on Margaret Bourke White’s photographs. The Libraries are the place to be!
