Local collector Pat Baker will be displaying her array of Tasha Tudor’s art, children’s books, and other unique items at the WA Bachelder Library in East Andover beginning on Thursday evening, September 3, through Friday, October 9.

Tasha Tudor, former New Hampshire resident, illustrated close to 100 books, including many classics such as The Secret Garden, The Wind in the Willows, and The Night Before Christmas. She also wrote a few original books; the most well-known is Corgiville Fair.

Her illustrations are of bygone days, as she held the belief that her past life was in the 1830s, which is the time period represented in her art, her home, as well as her way of life.

Pat has been collecting for over 20 years and was also fortunate to meet Tasha Tudor on a few occasions. Pat would love to share her collection and experiences with us. Please join us on opening night on Thursday, September 3, at 6:30 PM as Pat introduces us to this gifted artist.

This display will be up until Friday, October 9, during all open hours: Tuesdays, 9 AM to 12:30 PM and 6:30 to 8:30 PM; Thursdays, 3 to 5 PM and 6:30 to 8:30 PM; and Fridays, 1:30-5 PM.
