Jean L. Stewart Barker, 84, died on October 28, 2015, at the home in Northwood she shared with her daughter, Rebecca Rule; son-in-law, John K. Rule; granddaughter, Adi Rule; and Adi’s partner, Kristopher Seavey.

She was predeceased by her husband, Lewis W. “Bud” Barker (Andover High School ’53) and a son, Stephen Charles Barker. Another son, Robert W. Barker, lives in Franklin.

Jean was born in Danbury, the daughter of Lillian G. Ford Stewart and Robert Stewart. She graduated from Andover High School in 1949. She lived for many years on Corn Hill Road in Boscawen, where she brought up her family with intense love and care.

There were no calling hours or services. Her family thanks Concord VNA, in particular the hospice caregivers, for all their help and compassion during Jean’s final months.
