With snow on the ground, it’s hard to think ahead to the summer months, but the planning for Andover’s annual Fourth of July celebration is a year-round effort.

We are planning our annual raffle with some very nice prizes. Grevior Furniture in Franklin has generously donated an oak coffee table with a top that raises to make it higher and allow storage inside. It is valued at over $400.

There is a beautiful red, white, and blue crocheted afghan donated by Susan Aste of East Andover and a basket of Made in New Hampshire products. We have a number of items for the basket, but could use a few more from our local cottage industries. If you have a donation, call Bob Ward at 735-5061. We would like them before Town Meeting so we can assemble the basket.

We will be selling raffle tickets at Town Meeting as well as on the Fourth of July.

This year we would like to add a photography exhibit and contest to the activities on the Village Green. If anyone is interested in organizing this event, please call Judy Perreault at 735-5493 for details.
