Sharon E. (Ward) Mickle, 59, of Dyers Crossing Road, died on February 15, 2016 at her home in East Andover, surrounded by her family.

She leaves behind her husband of 40 years, Robert F. Mickle of East Andover; a son and his wife, Gregory and Chelsi Mickle and their children Lillian, Oliver, and Bronwyn, who live overseas; and a daughter and her husband, Kellie and Dennis Magnifico and their children Gabriella and Victoria of Franklin, Massachusetts

Sharon was born on May 4, 1956 in Winchester, Massachusetts to Charles and Bette (Fitzgerald) Ward, who predeceased her. She graduated from Wilmington, Massachusetts High School in 1974.

Sharon married her high school sweetheart, Robert, on July 12, 1975. They resided in Wilmington, Massachusetts; Derry, New Hampshire; and finally ended up in East Andover. While living in Massachusetts, Sharon worked for Dynamics Research in Wilmington, where she made some of her strongest lifelong friends.

After moving to New Hampshire in 1984, she was employed by Proctor Academy and was the Andover Deputy Town Clerk. Sharon then became bookkeeper and office manager for Alan K. Thompson Insurance in East Andover, which later became Colby Insurance Agency in New London. She retired in 2015 because of her health.

Sharon enjoyed boating on Highland Lake, gardening, and camping. Above all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Sharon is survived by her husband and children; a brother and his wife, Stephen and Diane Ward of Wilmington, Massachusetts; two sisters and their husbands, Pamela and Frank Downs of Wilmington, Massachusetts, and Lisa and Dana Tarricone of Atkinson, New Hampshire; a sister-in-law, Patricia Mickle of Dracut, Massachusetts; and six nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held on Saturday, February 20, at 11:30 AM at the East Andover Fire Station.
