Richard “Dick” H. Jones, 86, of Hampstead, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016 in the Parkland Medical Center in Derry. He was born in Winthrop, Massachusetts, the son of the late Henry and Mary (Memple) Jones. Mr. Jones had been a resident of Hampstead since 1989, formerly living in Salem. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during Korea.

Mr. Jones was the owner/operator of Dick Jones Trucking and Excavating and was a member of the Salem Contractors Association. He was a member of the Spicket Lodge #85 Visitation of F&AM in Salem, the Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Nashua, the Bektash Shriners, a founding member of the Shriners Motorcycle Patrol, and a member of the Salem Ski-Mobile Club.

Mr. Jones enjoyed life to the fullest and had many friends, as people were drawn to him. He enjoyed car races, riding his motorcycle, traveling in his motor home, and dancing on Saturday nights. He loved spending time with his friends and family.

He is survived by the love of his life, Beverly Fuller of Hampstead; four daughters: Marsha Siegel of Andover, Brenda Busch and her husband Phil of Deerfield, Paula Anderson of Salem, and Karla Jones and her husband Andre Olivier of New Boston. He is also survived by two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours were held on March 8 in the Douglas and Johnson Funeral Home in Salem, with a Masonic Service being held at 7 PM. Per his wishes, a private burial will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery in Salem.
