Andover’s Road Relics Car Club Holds Show on the Fourth

Two prizes plus driving in the parade

By Judy Perreault, Fourth of July Committee

Plans are just about complete for the Fourth of July Road Relics car show to be held on the Fourth at Pizza Chef. All makes and models of cars are welcome. The show begins at 9 AM and ends at 1 PM. Entrants will receive a ticket for a drawing later in the day.

This year, in addition to the 50/50 raffle we are raffling a tailgate bench.

John Keyser has made two trophies for prizes. These are original sculptures made out of car parts. One is for Hot Rods and Custom Cars, and the other is for Best Rat Rod.

We have a variety of cars: the old, the new, and the in-between. I bet some of them will bring back memories.

Cars that wish to be considered for parade prizes need to be at the Proctor Field House by 10 AM for judging. Otherwise, cars may join the parade from Pizza Chef.

This group meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 6 PM. For more information, including the meeting place, call Jim Henderson at 735-5448.
