Second Graders Tackle Independent Research Projects

All AE/MS second graders focused their inquiring minds on individual research projects this year. The topics ranged from exploring a variety of animals (caracals, tree kangaroos, komodo dragons, and a new species of gecko) to learning about things like the Titanic, the Hope Diamond, and microchips. Pictured here are Anna Warzocha, who persevered to understand the very complex topic of microchips, and her friend Ollie Grotnes, who learned all he could about the paroedura hordiesi, that new, rare gecko. Now we need to tell him that two more very big gecko species were just discovered in New Guinea! Caption and photo: Gretchen Hildebrand
