The Andover Recreation Committee and the Select Board are excited to introduce a new club in town: the Andover Cycling Club (ACC). The club is the brainchild of avid local riders Drew Donaldson, Josh Norris, Brian Gilman, Chris Grotnes, and Jeremy Menard.

The purpose of the club is to promote youth cycling in town and to take advantage of the extensive trail networks on the Northern Rail Trail, Proctor Woodlands, and other area trails while promoting healthy living and lifelong sports that youth can enjoy with their parents.

The ACC is looking for kids in third grade and older to join the club and enroll in the summer ride program: a multi-week instructional ride program led by knowledgeable coaches. The Club’s coaches will be Chris Grotnes, Brian Gilman, Jeremy Menard, Josh Norris, Ryan Murphy, and Drew Donaldson. This summer’s program will be devoted to learning about mountain biking, including trail networks, technique, and essential bike maintenance.

The ACC will have a table with more information about the summer ride program and club membership on the Village Green during Andover’s Fourth of July celebration. Please swing by to ask Drew, Josh, Brian, Chris, or Jeremy any questions you have about the program. If you would like additional information or would be interested in signing up your child, you can e-mail the ACC at AndoverRecCycling@nullgmail.com.
