Carol Leroux, July 23, 2016

Carol A. Leroux, 61, a, longtime resident of Franklin, died at her home in Franklin on July 23, 2016, following a lengthy period of failing health.

Carol was born in Concord on June 30, 1955, daughter of the late Edward Arthur Leroux and Denise A. (Rouin) Leroux. Carol was a Class of ’73 graduate from Franklin High School.

She then studied at the Concord Technical Institute and Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts and obtained a Master’s Degree in Social Services. Prior to becoming ill, Carol held jobs at the City of Concord, and the Tommy Hilfiger Outlet Store.

Carol had a great fondness for the ocean and enjoyed each trip there. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and a good bottle of wine, and she loved animals. The joy of her life and constant companion of many years, Lady, a border collie, predeceased her, and she will be missed by her present canine companion, Andre, a miniature Pomeranian, and several cats she adopted.

Carol leaves two loving sons, John E. (JJ) and Kyle D. Jipson of Franklin, who helped care for their mom during her illnesses. She is survived by siblings Roger A. Leroux of Epsom, Nancy L. Tierney of Northfield, Linda K. Perry of Andover, and Cynthia D. Evans of Laconia; half-brother Daniel C. Cutting of Moultonborough; half-sister Myrriam P. Hapsis of Bow; and numerous nieces and nephews.

According to her wishes, there were no calling hours. A private celebration of Carol’s life will be held for her family. Those wishing may make memorial contributions in Carol’s name to the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia NH 03247-0572.
