US House, Republican, Jim Lawrence

As a veteran, a graduate of the Air Force Academy, a small businessman, and a former state legislator, I have seen first-hand the challenges that face our nation. Our national debt is now $19.2 trillion, $60,000 for every man, woman, and child in America. Government waste, high taxes, and over-regulation are crippling our job-creating small businesses and undermining American prosperity.

Overseas, a feckless foreign policy has emboldened our enemies, and here at home we have seen ISIS-inspired terrorist attacks on our citizens. We need a strong military and a clear understanding of the threats we face. When we use force, we should do so only as a last resort, but when we commit our military to battle, we must win decisively and then bring our troops home.

Unfortunately, Washington is broken and incapable of addressing these problems. We must send courageous, principled leaders to Washington, leaders who understand that America thrives at home when government is small and non-intrusive, leaders who know first-hand that America is safe when our friends can trust us and our enemies fear us. I will be that leader.

I served in uniform. I built a business that has prospered by uncovering and eliminating government waste. I led the fight in Concord to cut taxes and wasteful spending. Most importantly, as the father of eight children, I am dedicated to guaranteeing that they inherit a nation that is stronger, safer, and more prosperous than we are today.
