Tom Barber Featured at The Franklin Studio

6 PM on Thursday, November 10

By Lauretta Phillips, The Franklin Studio

Have you ever wanted to write a book or paint a picture and just weren’t sure where to start? Have you wondered how to get in touch with your creativity?

Andover’s own Tom Barber will be the featured speaker at The Franklin Studio at 6 PM on November 10  where he will be discussing the creative process.

If anyone knows what the creative process is about it is Tom Barber.

He is a life-long artist who is highly regarded and recognized for his work as an illustrator for science fiction, fantasy magazines, and books. He was voted the Best Professional Artist of the Year at the New England Science Fiction Convention in 1976.

From climbing the Matterhorn in 1971, to setting up his easel in the operating room of an abandoned ghost town in Arizona in 1984, to his present studio in Andover, Tom Barber’s life work has continued to gain recognition and acclaim. His work has been displayed in galleries from coast to coast and is in private collections world-wide.

Tom Barber has also written an eBook titled Bunsen & Pondering (wonder what the hell is wrong with this world.)

At this event, Tom will be discussing the creative process in both writing and painting.

The Franklin Studio is located at 366 Central Street, downtown Franklin. The discussion will begin at 6 PM.
