Administration present: Mark MacLean, Christine Barry, Robin Heins, Kathleen Boucher, Jane Slayton, and Judith Turk

Board Chairperson’s Report: Michelle commented on specific roles for committee participation: Mark H will continue to serve on the Budget Committee; Misty and Michelle will continue to represent the School Board with Support Staff Negotiations; Dean and Annie will work together on Communications, and Annie will be the liaison between Proctor Academy and the Andover School District.

AE/MS Facilities Project: The School Board unanimously approved a motion to move forward with the recommendations of the community task force regarding the Andover Elementary/Middle School Facilities Project. The $3.6 million project will be proposed to the town and a bond vote will be pursued in March.

Superintendent’s Report: Mark M stated that we have had a great start to the new school year. Kudos to the staff for all of their preparation.

He has been in communication with Doug Phelps of the Capital Improvement Plan Committee. There will be a potential meeting to be held at the end of September. He looks forward to the collaboration and positive work between the district and committee.

Mark M and David Miller, MVHS Principal, have initiated conversations with New Hampshire Technical Institute regarding researching early college programming for the high school students. Mark M also summarized the events of the Administrative Retreat that was held in August with continued focus on supervision, evaluation, and the sharing of the SAU#46 Vision.

New Teacher Orientation has been offered to support newly hired staff members.
