Wilmot Historical Society Presents Story Teller Jo Radner

Program begins at 2 PM on Sunday, May 7

Press Release
Jo Radner, Storyteller

The Wilmot Historical Society is proud to present the program Yankee Ingenuity: Stories of headstrong and resourceful people, featuring the quintessential New England storyteller Jo Radner. The program, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 2 PM on Sunday, May 7, at the Wilmot Community Association’s Red Barn (WCA). Light refreshments will be served at 1:30 PM

You will be well entertained by Ms. Radner as she calls forth stories that honor the past and delight the present. “There’s some truth to the image of traditional Mainers as self-reliant, neighborly, and clever at making things work. They have a good dollop of boneheaded stubbornness, too. Odd folks, welcome in rural Maine, give rise to good stories and affirm the independence we value. Occasionally, they remind us of some hard realities.”

The Red Barn is located at 64 Village Road next to the Wilmot Post Office in Wilmot Flat. Contact Marc at 927-4596 for more information or go on line at   wilmothistoricalsociety.org.
