Andover Service Club News: March, 2018
By Mary Ofenloch, President, ASC

March, 2018 saw snowstorms and nor’easters causing the ASC to cancel its monthly meeting and almost stopped the annual Town Meeting bake sale fundraiser. But the hardy Andover residents braved the storm, making their way to the AE/MS gym to vote in the town election. Then, many of the voters came to the ASC table to purchase tasty treats which were baked by the members. “Thank you” to all of those who bought the baked goods and to those who donated to this fundraiser.
The next regular meeting of the ASC will be on Wednesday, April 11 at 10 AM in the Highland Lake Grange Hall. The special program will be “Our Treasures” in-house auction. Any woman – young, old, or in-between – is invited to join us. Come and see what we do and meet new friends.
The ASC Thrift Shop on School Street in Andover is a great place to shop for Spring outfits for the entire family. As well as beautiful, almost new or gently used clothing, you can find jewelry and accessories to complement your choices.

Coming up: The annual Spring luncheon and Executive Board election at 74 Main Restaurant in New London on June 13; the annual Slices for Scholarships fundraiser on July 4; The fourth annual Arts & Crafts Fair on Saturday, October 27 at AE/MS; And the annual Thanksgiving pie sale on November 20 & 21 at the Food Stop in Andover.
We hope to see everyone at these events, because without you, the ASC could not fulfill its mission of service to the community. Thank you all!
