Press Release

Katelyn Nash, Realtor at Central Gold Key Realty, received Franklin BPW’s Virginia Allen Young Careerist award.

Franklin, NH – The Franklin Business and Professional Women’s (BPW) Club announced the 50th recipient of the club’s Virginia Allan Young Careerist award.
Katelyn Nash, Realtor at Central Gold Key Realty, recently received the award for her achievements in the following award criteria: a young career woman who is under thirty-five (35) years of age and who has accomplished much in her personal and professional life.
Currently, Nash serves as the Secretary of the Choose Franklin Advisory Board. She has volunteered many hours with this organization, including Co-Chairperson and Volunteer Coordinator for the Christmas Tree Fundraiser and creator and Chairperson for the Voter Dinner to encourage young adults and others to vote, even using a “ballot” menu. She also initiated the use of Facebook Live for Choose Franklin meetings, allowing all who are interested and unable to attend in person to stay informed.

In addition to being a wife and the mother of two young boys, Nash volunteers with the Franklin Lodge of Elks to hosts social dinners raising money for the Elks National Foundation. This Foundation helps support youth, honors veterans and donates to those in need. She has also volunteered with the highway clean up along with other Elk members.  Professionally, she is a Member of the National Association of Realtors, a Member of the NH Association of Realtors, and a Member of the Lakes Region Board of Realtors. She graduated from Franklin High School and attended Colby-Sawyer College in New London.
Nash gave a speech at the Franklin BPW February recognition on a selected topic “How can men and children help women achieve equality and what responsibilities do women have to educate men and children on the inequalities that exist today for women?” For the delivery of her thoughts, she received a standing ovation. Nash will compete against other New England Young Careerists in a Regional competition in September where judges select a winner based on each candidate’s 4-minute speech, a personal interview and a biographical statement outlining his/her accomplishments. There is a monetary prize for the Young Careerist winner at each level.
The Virginia Allan Young Careerist Program was created in 1964 by the BPW/USA President Virginia Allan to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of successful young professionals. Criteria for candidates include being between the ages of 21 and 35 (inclusive), being employed in their profession for at least one year, and living or working in the area of the local BPW organization.
