Davisville Mill Site Program & Walk

The Hopkinton and Warner Historical Societies will be presenting a program about the Davis family and the operation of their mills located along the Warner River in Davisville. Before the Flood of 1826, this section of the river was a beehive of activity producing a variety of products from shingles to lumber, grain to woolen cloth, bricks to an iron weights, and a blacksmith shop to a tannery. After the flood several of the mills were rebuilt.  A slide program will be given at the Hopkinton Historical Society, 300 Main Street at 7 PM.

A self-guided walking tour of the Davis family mill site in Warner, N.H. will be
held August 18 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.  Parking at the site is not allowed. Please park at the Davisville Flea Market located at 805 Route 103 East off Exit 7 of Int. 89.  A shuttle will ferry people to and from the mill site. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Refreshments will be provided.
