Beginning Tuesday, October 2nd

Press Release

Both those who are newly retired and those who’ve been at it for a while will find new ways to make the most of their retirement years in the “Aging Mastery” series being offered at The Andover Hub, beginning on Tuesday, October 2, from 10:15 to 11:45 AM.
Brought to The Hub by the Concord Area Visiting Nurse Association (VNA), this ten-week health and wellness program will feature ten professionals discussing the topics of exercise, sleep, healthy eating, financial fitness, advance planning, healthy relationships, medication management, fall prevention and community engagement that can help attendees create a personal pathway for aging well.
The program is free and class size is limited.  To register, call the Concord VNA at

224-4093, ext. 5815 or go to their website, www.crvna.org.
The Aging Mastery Program (AMP) focuses on adults age 55 and up and aims to help participants learn to make their retirement years more healthy and satisfying through a fun and innovative program that encourages them to develop sustainable behaviors that lead to improved health, stronger economic security, enhanced well-being, and increased social and community involvement.
AMP was created by the National Council on Aging (NCA) to encourage aging mastery — the development of new expectations, norms, and pathways for people aged 50 to 100 in order to make the most of the gift of longevity.
According to the NCA, “The nation’s 76 million baby boomers have been given an unprecedented gift of health and time but to a great extent, older adults do not make the most of this phase of life.   Most older adults are facing a new reality when it comes to maintaining their health and economic security and contributing to society. AMP aims to help them build their own playbook for aging well. “
