Ledyard National Bank Recognized as Healthy Workplace

Press Release

Ledyard National Bank is pleased to announce that it has been recognized by the American Heart Association’s Workplace Health Achievement Index, as one of only six New Hampshire organizations, for creating a healthier workplace and promoting well-being by investing in the health of its workforce and work environment.

As the American Heart Association explains, “The Index is a web-based portal that fuses health content, personal health data, and consumer engagement opportunities to evaluate the overall quality and comprehensiveness of workplace health programs. Life’s Simple 7, the American Heart Association’s definition of ideal cardiovascular health based on seven risk factors, is also taken into the scoring process. Life’s Simple 7 includes smoking status, physical activity, weight, diet, blood glucose, cholesterol and blood pressure.”

Ledyard Bank’s commitment to creating a workplace environment built on healthy core values includes a broad spectrum of initiatives such as organizing an annual, community-based Live Well Walking Challenge for Upper Valley organizations, instituting a Veggie of the Month Club, and incorporating ergonomically-designed workstations. The guidance and support from the American Heart Association is an invaluable resource, as a global force for longer, healthier lives.
