Updates From The Town Clerk’s Office

By Bonnie Wesley, Town Clerk

Just a few things to keep you updated on what’s going at the Town Clerks office:

The Clerk’s office will be closed on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 for Town Elections/Town Meeting Day.  The polls will open at 11 AM and close at 7 PM, followed by the Town Meeting beginning at 7 PM. A candidate list is posted in the office lobby as well as in this issue of the Beacon.

We made it through a very publicized presidential primary. I want to thank all of you who helped.  Many of you come back year after year, and we had some newcomers. There are too many to name. There were 13 ballot clerks, a moderator, two town clerks, three supervisors of the check list, three selectman, one police officer and 30 ballot counters.

I am so appreciative.  I also want to offer a special thanks to Jen at JJ’s for the coffee, and to Marie at Pizza Chef for coming in on her day off to make us some pizza.  Also, I’m happy to announce that the State Inspector found no violations at our polling place. Yay!
