Proctor Outdoor Center Celebrates Official Opening

A belief in the benefits of year-round outdoor activities

By Scott Allenby, Director of Communications and Strategic Initiatives
The newly-opened Proctor Outdoor Center is a three-season, one-of-a-kind building, made possible by an anonymous donation.

On February 8, Proctor celebrated the official opening of the Proctor Outdoor Center with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
This new facility, located adjacent to the Teddy Maloney ‘88 Rink, serves as a home to all of Proctor’s outdoor sports, including mountain biking, kayaking, rock climbing, skiing, and cycling, while also providing a home for Proctor’s Mountain Classroom and Wilderness Orientation programs.
The building provides workshop space, state-of-the-art tuning and waxing rooms for skiing, an indoor rock wall and ninja training area, as well as ample storage for outdoor gear.
Proctor thanks all who helped this project become a reality for all of our outdoor enthusiasts in the community. Read more about the facility at blogs.proctoracademy.org/stewarding-proctor-in-our-own-ways.
